WHAT ARE SOME TIPS FOR IMPROVING MY HANDSTAND ?
A few things to remember when you are doing a handstand;
- Hands should be shoulder width apart
- Fingers should be spread with your index finger pointing forward
- Always keep your core, butt and legs engaged
- Keep your gaze directly in the centre of your hands
- Try tilting your head only slightly, and gazing down mostly with your eyes instead of your whole head - this helps with alignment
- When doing a handstand you should use your entire hand(s) - not just in your palm - your fingers play a very big roll in making minor adjustments and keeping your balance, some people describe it as "gripping the floor" - be aware of your fingertips!
