This plan will teach you the backhandspring, also known as the flip-flop or flick, which is a basic building block for many gymnastic or cheerleading routines. Even if you aren't a gymnast, this plan provides you with step-by-step tutorial to learn this fun, dynamic movement!

To do a backhandspring you have to fall backwards, land upside-down on your hands, and push upwards to land back on your feet. Before you attempt, however, you should already have built up your upper body strength, especially in your arms and shoulders, and you should be comfortable with a handstand.

Though the backhandspring is a very technical move, it is so much fun! One of the best parts of learning to backhandspring is that you will, simultaneously learn to STEER YOUR FEAR… to focus and channel your energy into positivity, strength and confidence. Steering your fear is all about taking control of your life to reach your dreams!

In order to reach those dreams, you need practice. And for the backhandspring, you need to practice safely. Use a spotter or go to a professional facility where they have equipment and space. Tumbling is so much fun and a great way to learn how to move and control your body, but you need to do it right! Taking precautions is crucial to your success.

I am so excited to share my passion with you - let's have some fun!
