Muscle Up Progression 5

Now you're ready for the strict muscle up!

1) Start with a set of rings that are high enough that you can hang.

2) Perform a pull up, except in this pull up, lean back. This is a fast and controlled pull. Think speed. It's you're friend!

3) Once you see the top of the rings, that's when I want you to perform teh transition. Allow your feet to come down and your body to swing through the rings.

4) Once you've swung through, finish in the dip. Find control first.

5) Once you have control in the bottom position, press and lock out.

Born in San Francisco to Swedish parents, Carl grew up in Spain and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Swedish. He successfully competed in artistic gymnastics for 15 years, becoming the Spanish National Champion in Vault. Whilst being a highly valued coach to many, Carl continues to be a student constantly refining his thinking and philosophy on movement expression through the art of bboying (break dancing).
