Squat Progression 3

Level 3 focuses on adopting the squatting shape. This level can only be mastered if you feel very comfortable with the level 1 and level 2 squat progression.

1) Take the hip width stance and widen it a bit more, without going past shoulder width apart.

2) Your touch, hinge and drop need to remain the same.

3) Drop your hip down as low as you can

4) Lift your arms up

To stand up, bring the hands down again, lift your hips up, and then stand tall.

Born in San Francisco to Swedish parents, Carl grew up in Spain and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Swedish. He successfully competed in artistic gymnastics for 15 years, becoming the Spanish National Champion in Vault. Whilst being a highly valued coach to many, Carl continues to be a student constantly refining his thinking and philosophy on movement expression through the art of bboying (break dancing).
