Be Bright is a collection of prop-supported vinyasa classes designed to introduce students to theme-based and intention-led asana. The purpose of these 30-45 minute flows is not to feel joy or softness or empowerment throughout the entire class, but rather to practice manifesting these feelings when you may be experiencing the opposite.
Each of the five classes begins with a brief meditation to connect the mind to the day’s intention. Next, we introduce the body to our theme with related poses and movements. Throughout the flow, modifications and prop variations are offered, along with reminders to connect to our theme. With the comfort of a strong intention, the support of props, and foundational sequences, you will begin to cultivate a strong mental and physical practice to encourage you bring your yoga practice off the mat and into your everyday life.
This series is the perfect follow-up to Dana’s Beginner Yoga Flows and EmBody Yoga plans. It is suited for students familiar with their bodies, who are comfortable with some weight-bearing on their wrists, and are looking to add more variety and flow experience to their practice. There are no advanced postures or inversions, though there is an opportunity to play with Crow pose in the “Empowered” class.
